The royalty split

stays with Dalimss Ink for 3 years per book. That is how we cover the cost of a free launch.
Net royalties are the list price minus the retailer or platform cut, the print cost and taxes. You pay nothing up front, and copyright stays with you.
Please note: the 70/30 split for 3 years applies only to this free programme. On our paid packages, authors keep 90 to 100% of the net profit, as set out on our packages.
Who can apply
- Authors living anywhere in India, first-time or published

- English first. Hindi manuscripts are welcome too

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. For the books we select, we charge nothing for editing, cover design, typesetting, the ISBN or the launch. You never pay us anything under this programme.
How do you earn from it?
From royalties. Dalimss Ink keeps 30% of the net royalties on your book for 3 years, and you get 70%. After 3 years, you get 100% of net royalties.
Is the 70/30 split the same on paid packages?
No. The 70/30 split for 3 years applies only to the Free Launch Programme. On our paid packages, authors keep 90 to 100% of the net profit, as the rest of our site says.
What are net royalties?
The list price minus the retailer or platform cut, the print cost and taxes. You get a written statement for every payout.
Who owns the book?
You do. Copyright stays with you. We take a limited licence to publish, with the term written into the agreement.
Do I pay for the ISBN?
No. The ISBN is free and we never charge for it.
Can I apply in Hindi?
Yes. We are English-first, but Hindi manuscripts are welcome. Please use a Unicode font, not Kruti Dev.
Who can apply?
Any author living in India, first-time or published, with a finished or nearly finished book of fiction, non-fiction or poetry.
How are books picked?
Email your manuscript to [email protected]. Our editorial team reads every entry and selects books on the strength of the writing and how ready it is. Our decision is final.
When will I hear back?
Entries close on 15 November 2026. We announce the shortlist by 30 November 2026. If you are not picked, you can still publish with us on our regular packages.
Can I send more than one book?
Yes, but please send each one separately.
